News: Arkham Now, to be... Friday, January 01 @ 14:10:54 EST by PoC (507 reads) | Call of Cthulhu has a certain tradition of long-gestating publications and in that fine tradition comes Arkham Now, a supplement that updates Lovecraft's civilised creation to the modern era. Written by Brian Courtemanche, Matt Sanborn and friends, the 176 page book provides details of modern Arkham along with a selection of new Call of Cthulhu scenarios set in the Legend-Haunted city.
The PDF is available now, with the print version slightly delayed, but to follow soon.
I wonder if Arkham has a Tourist Information Office?...

News: Introducing… Yog Radio - Radio Monday, December 21 @ 14:24:59 EST by PoC (828 reads) | A quick look over at the upper left hand side of the site and you may notice a new block that's appeared for Yog Radio Radio. This is the imaginatively ascribed name to our new streaming audio channel.
Yog Radio Radio continuously plays a selection of material from the Yoggie archives as well as third party content and is also host to our live audio broadcasts. (Yog Radio #40 for example was broadcast live to Patrons as a test on Friday 18th December - podcast version to follow.)
Simply use the link on the left or the link over at YogRadio.com to either launch the audio channel in your local Media Player (e.g. iTunes, WinAmp or Windows Media Player etc.) or use the Flash-based player directly on the web site.
Yog Radio Radio gives us the ability to showcase just a fraction of the material we have on the site (and also what friends produce) as well as opening up opportunities for further "live" broadcasts of various kinds… Currently AfterHell are graciously letting us air their Dark Descent audio drama as a scheduled transmission at 7 PM (UK, 19:00 GMT) each evening - and look out for more in the future!

News: Monograph Series Delves into the 'Secrets of the Congo' Tuesday, December 15 @ 18:32:47 EST by PoC (620 reads) | Chaosium have released Secrets of the Congo a Call of Cthulhu monograph by Michael Fredholm von Essen that provides a series of linked adventures set within the Belgian Congo of the 1920s.
The monograph sees first release as a PDF, likely with a print edition to follow. It's nice to see more material for African campaigns appearing, so something new to go along with Secrets of Kenya, Secrets of Morocco, The Cairo Guidebook (if you can find it), and of course the Dark Continent RPG by New Breed (publishing).
More details below, but fair warning, the description contains spoilers.

News: 'Arkham Horror' Dice from Q-Workshop Monday, December 14 @ 17:28:53 EST by PoC (711 reads) | Previously mentioned in the Yoggie forums back in September - there's a new set of Cthulhu related dice now available from Q-Workshop. This time the Polish dice makers have produced a set of five six-sided dice designed for Fantasy Flight Games' version of Arkham Horror.
The Arkham Horror dice come in a presentation box and Q-Workshop are planning on releasing the first 100 as numbered sets (with certificates) via eBay in the near future. Standard sets are priced at €8/£8.
Look out in Yog Radio #40 for a competition to win some of these very nice dice! Q-Workshop also have a banner running this month on Yoggie, so feel free to click and see the dice on their site (as we don't run Google Ads, we can actually say that).
