    Reviews: Tentacles 2008 Video
    Friday, May 16, 2008 @ 21:58:31 GMT by PoC (37 reads)
Yog RadioFollowing on from our earlier release of the Chaosium Seminar Recording from Tentacles 2008, what we have next is a short video compilation of scenes I was able to grab during the convention event.

Look out for Fin, Trollball in action, and of course the annual ritual of the burning of a copy of Daughters of Darkness for RuneQuest, plus other strange & wonderful things...

You should go to this convention if you possibly can.

News: Casting Call of Cthulhu - A Short Film
    Thursday, May 15, 2008 @ 18:08:00 GMT by PoC (135 reads)
Yog RadioThis time, not the MULA monograph, but a short film by Joseph Nanni that was recently premiered at the RioFan Film Festival.

Casting Call of Cthulhu tells the story of some of the unusual encounters one can expect when casting for Lovecraftian films. Featuring some world-class production, and music by Darkest of the Hillside Thickets, we're very pleased to offer this web premiere in conjunction with Bad Advice for Good Times.

Joseph Nanni, writes: "Yog-Sothoth.com is the first place I go when I'm looking for Lovecraft related media so, naturally, it was the first place I went when I had something to share.  It is a hub for the most dedicated fans."

The film is definitely worth a watch. Hope you enjoy it!

Interviews: The Stars Are Right! Chaosium Seminar Recording from Tentacles 2008
    Wednesday, May 14, 2008 @ 18:37:22 GMT by PoC (217 reads)
Yog RadioAs I've mentioned in the forums, we had a great time at the 2008 Tentacles convention, held in Bacharach, Germany.

While playing games, catching up with friends and admiring the rather amazing convention location, I also took the opportunity to do some recording. Here is the first of them, a seminar with Charlie Krank, President of Chaosium. Charlie talks about what's new and upcoming for Call of Cthulhu and the BRP system, what they hope to see, Monograph conversions, PDF availability and more.

News: Stunning Eldritch Tales for 'Trail of Cthulhu'
    Wednesday, May 14, 2008 @ 18:13:01 GMT by PoC (125 reads)
Pelgrane PressIt landed on my doormat this morning, so it must be real. Stunning Eldritch Tales from Pelgrane Press has arrived - four "Terrifying True Adventures in Horror" written by Robin D. Laws for the Trail of Cthulhu RPG.

Stunning Eldritch Tales is the first supplement for ToC, and as the tag line says, it features four adventures for the new Cthulhu system. It should be in your friendly local game stores now (or very soon), priced at $17.95 (US)/£8.95 (UK) for 82 pages of eldritich entertainment!

    News: Dr. Jones Joins Chaosium
    Wednesday, May 07, 2008 @ 16:51:28 GMT by PoC (331 reads)
ChaosiumPicked up by Bret (WinstonP) in the forums, Chaosium have announced that Dr. William Jones (William_J) has joined their staff.

William will be no stranger to the people of olde Yoggie, he and his wife (Deborah) starting The Book of Dark Wisdom and both being 'Sons of Yog-Sothoth' (moderators to YSDC's eponymous literary forum); add to that William's writing credits with Secrets of New York, Mysteries of Morocco, Arkham Tales, The Strange Cases of Rudolph Pearson and the forthcoming Pulp Cthulhu to name a few, round off with the odd Professorship and you can see that this is very good news for Chaosium.

With all the new developments for the game over the past few weeks, it looks like a great time ahead for Cthulhu fans!

News: Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity - Fundable Fundraiser
    Tuesday, May 06, 2008 @ 17:20:00 GMT by PoC (315 reads)
Delta GreenFollowing on from the very successful release of Delta Green: Eyes Only, Arc Dream and Pagan Publishing are collaborating to produce a new supplement for the Delta Green setting - Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity.

The companies have decided to use Fundable as a means of releasing the book, saying:

"We're going the Fundable route for 'Targets of Opportunity' because our two publishing companies have their meager (sic) capital tied up in many other product lines, and, frankly, producing a book like this costs an awful lot of money. If you help us raise the money for it, we'll produce the book."

Arc Dream & Pagan are looking to raise $20,000 (US) by Wednesday, 28th May, 11:59 PM EST. As with all Fundable projects, if the pledge total is not met, no monies are taken. (All or nothing.)

As of writing, the total stands at over $3,000 raised, with just over 22 days to go. Join the discussion about this new project in the YSDC forums: Delta Green: Targets of Opportunity
    Note: Now over $16,000 pledged.

    News: Chaosium Licensing Madness!
    Wednesday, April 30, 2008 @ 18:00:00 GMT by PoC (396 reads)
PublishersI couldn't resist the news title, so I didn't. (Oscar Wilde wouldn't mind.)

Reality Deviant Publications are the latest in a new line of Chaosium Call of Cthulhu licensees.

The following borrowed liberally from the pages of GamingReport.com:

"The contracts are signed in blood, the sacrifices have been made, and mighty Cthulhu has bestowed his blessings. Reality Deviant Publications is happy to announce we are the newest Chaosium licensee! RDP will focus on support of the True20 game system by bringing fans of all things Cthulhu outstanding game supplements which bring H.P. Lovecraft's deliciously maddening Mythos to life!"

So it's not only more BRP-based Call of Cthulhu supplements we can look forward to.

Yog RadioRamsey Campbell is one of the world's leading horror writers and a master of the 'Weird Tale'. Earlier in April I was fortunate enough to be able to interview Mr. Campbell at his home in Merseyside. In this exclusive interview Campbell speaks about his childhood, his work and the influence of H.P. Lovecraft on his life, plus much more.

The full interview, running the best part of an hour is now available as a video download (480x360p) from Lovecraftiana.
